About Irmy Wilms-Haverkamp
Irmy Wilms-Haverkamp is an industrial designer (Dipl. Des.) and loves interdisciplinary projects. Together with Claudia Köhler, she has been developing products for more than 30 years, including quite a few bestsellers and award-winning designs for a wide range of industries and clients such as Hettich, WMF, Wineo, Auping, etc.. Her work is conceptually driven rather than influenced by a particular style. As a team member of Haverkamp Interior Design, she has also gained experience in interior projects for more than 20 years, including numerous in China. She owes her expertise in trends, values & styles and positioning of brands to her multi-year collaboration with De Bock & Dekker (NL). She gained completely new insights by accompanying very elderly relatives. Her latest and very personal interest is therefore the topic of Silver Society. She considers the general idea of "old age" to be outdated and is convinced that architecture, design and technology are important factors for the success of the demographic change towards an innovative, sustainable society.
