As a designer, Philipp Hainke combines an artistic background with technical solutions. For him design goes way beyond the shape of an object and becomes the meeting point of social, technical and sustainable questions and by that a key element in our globalized world. He has a strong focus on ecological design that includes technical innovations in its process, knowing that plain technology can never solve the problem on its own. To him designing means, being involved in a continual process of observation and reflection to generate purposeful objects. He believes that the Objects we are surrounded by become an active part of our society and can have the power to effect it back.
