Mark Lewis

Mark Lewis is responsible for operations and major projects at the Vita Group. In addition to his operational responsibilities his role includes coordination of the group’s sustainability strategy and oversight of the major CAPEX and strategic projects.
Mark previously worked in a range of General Management, Managing Director and Group Operations roles in the UK, Asia and Australia. These businesses served a range of markets including rigid & flexible food packaging, automotive, domestic appliances, building products and electronics.
Mark has a polymer science background but is also CIPS qualified as a member of the Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply. He also has a Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Black Belt.
Mark returned to the UK in 2015 and then re-joined Vita in 2017 having previously had a Managing Director role in Vita’s Polymer Compounding division where he worked both in the UK and Malaysia/Singapore.
The Vita group is the largest flexible PU foam manufacturer is Europe with 2700 employees based in 36 operations situated in 14 countries. Vita supplies product into all the main flexible PU foam markets including Comfort, Automotive, Aviation & Rail, Medical and Industrial. 100% of the industrial trim produced by the Vita group is reused internally in a range of products.
Vita has historically led the industry in the development of sustainable products and as an example was the first supplier to market flexible PU foams based on renewable polyols as the Nawaro range which was launched in the year 2000. Vita has a growing range of sustainable products marketed as the Vita Sustainable Foams range. Vita also produces Talalay latex foam produced from natural rubber latex source from ‘cradle to cradle’ gold certified sources.
