Jörg Petri is Business Development Manager at BASF Forward AM, where he develops sustainable product solutions for architecture & construction. Through his many years of working as an architect with a focus on digital design and building fabrication, he knows the challenges for the building site of the future and sees great development potential here. Before joining BASF 3D Printing Solutions, Jörg was co-founder of NOWlab and then NOWlab Innovation at the 3D printing start-up BigRep. For 3 years he researched and taught at the ITE of TU Braunschweig in the field of robotics and additive manufacturing methods for construction and design.
Jörg was Associate Architect and Project Manager at UNStudio van Berkel & Bos in Amsterdam for 6 years and was responsible for the design and construction of international award-winning projects such as - Ardmore Residence, Mirai House and National Art Museum of China, to name a few. At the same time he led the Knowledge Platform Architectural Sustainability. Jörg is a registered architect in AK Berlin and completed his Dipl.-Ing. Architekt at Beuth Hochschule Berlin in 2000 and a postgraduate MA in Advanced Architectural Design at Städelschule Frankfurt.
