materials.cologne - The digital conference for design and innovation

The materials.cologne - The Digital Conference for Design and Innovation tooks place for the 4th time this year and offerd detailed insights into design, materials and innovation. This year's focus was on materials and sustainability. The conference offerd a platform for the interactive and creative exchange of designers, architects, interior designers and other future-oriented professions.
On Tuesday, 4 May, the digital conference started with numerous expert contributions by experts on the topic of materials and sustainability, divided into three thematic blocks divided into three thematic blocks:
- Current state of knowledge: In the first thematic block, visitors to interzum @home would gain insights into the latest knowledge from research and science on sustainable design and material development, as well as practical methods of sustainability assessment.
- Best Practice from Design and Craft: In the second thematic block, speakers reported on how sustainable design can succeed, with a special focus on sustainable material development, based on project descriptions and findings. The focus had been on product design, furniture design, textile design and crafts.
- Best Practice in Architecture and Interior Design: In the third thematic block, personalities from the world of design reported on how sustainable principles can be implemented in concrete terms for building and interior design. In the work reports, visitors learnd more about the challenges and solutions in sustainable architecture.
