Cologne – BekaertDeslee, a global leader in mattress textiles, proudly announces that its INFINITY COVER has been awarded the Interzum Award 2025 for High Product Quality. This recognition honors the exceptional quality and sustainable innovation behind the INFINITY COVER, reinforcing BekaertDeslee’s role as a pioneer in eco-conscious design within the sleep industry.
Every year, up to 30 million mattresses are discarded across Europe, many ending up in landfills or being incinerated—despite nearly 85% of their materials being recyclable. The INFINITY COVER directly addresses this challenge, offering a fully recyclable mono-material solution made from 100% polyester, including 91% recycled content from sources such as PET bottles, post-production textile waste, and chemically recycled fibers.

The INFINITY COVER’s innovation lies not only in its materials but also in its advanced features. Made entirely from polyester, it supports full recyclability without compromising on performance. Its recycled content includes 53% from PET bottles, 30% from BekaertDeslee’s own post-production waste, and 8% from chemically recycled textile-to-textile sources.
The inclusion of a Digital Product Passport (DPP) and RFID tagging ensures traceability and transparency throughout the product’s lifecycle, especially at the end-of-use phase. Additionally, an integrated anti-slip polyester layer enhances mattress stability—traditionally achieved with non-recyclable components—while preserving mono-material integrity. Altogether, these innovations contribute to a CO₂ equivalent reduction of up to 26% compared to virgin polyester covers, enabling efficient disassembly and reintegration into new production cycles.
Awarded for its High Product Quality, the INFINITY COVER reflects BekaertDeslee’s core mission to reimagine the future of sleep by designing with purpose and responsibility. The Interzum Award, organized by Koelnmesse in cooperation with Red Dot, is one of the most respected recognitions in the global furniture and interior design supply sector.
