The fair

interzum is the world-renowned trade fair for suppliers to the furniture and interior industries. In addition to its high level of internationality of exhibitors and visitors and the high level of visitor competence, interzum featured a dazzling and comprehensive event programme offering great variety in one of the world’s most modern exhibition centres.

Innovation Prize of BMK

On the occasion of interzum, at the 13th of May 2009 the presentation of the Innovation Prize of the Federal Association of Medium-sized Kitchen Specialist Retailers (BMK) took place at Rheinsaal at the Congress Centre North of Koelnmesse. It was the fourth time that the BMK awarded this prize in the categories of kitchen furniture, kitchen appliances and kitchen accessories.

For the 5th time Koelnmesse in cooperation with red dot offered the interzum award: intelligent material & design. The design and innovation contest has been developed especially for the supplier industry and is already an established sector prize among interzum exhibitors. International design Award

Promoting talent and capturing tomorrow’s trends and visions were the declared goals of the International Design Award, a competition organized every two years by Hettich and REHAU. The competition was open to design students around the world, who were invited to create innovative and groundbreaking design solutions for future furniture and furniture elements.

Piazzas

Elegantly designed like the piazzas in small Italian towns, the interzum Piazzas serve as the central meeting place during the fair. 50 years interzum

50 years – it’s not often that a fair can boast such a long history. This was a chance for interzum to reflect how the supply industry has developed during the past 50 years and what interzum’s core competence was since 50 years.
