There's no such word as can't

Elaborate technical refinements turn upholstered furniture into all-rounder objects. Flexibility is trumps, now even at your fingertips. Ground-breaking developments have also been made in covering materials. The new textiles can do much more than "just" appear warm, easy to maintain and stain resistant.

"At the moment the subject of hygienics and anti-allergenic coverings plays an important role, but of course we are always trying to bring a few innovations onto the market," explained Reinhard Schlomm, General Head of Sales at diamona. "Aloe vera is now pretty well known, but there are new types of furniture, and we are always pleased when the supplier industry provides us with a few innovations so that we can impress customers with new products."

Karl Sommermeyer, CEO of himolla Polstermöbel, is primarily interested in materials with special functions. "The development of the material sector has considerably improved over the last few years, many subjects are now of importance: from cosiness to ease of care. interzum is very informative in that respect."

Roland Starkloff, product manager at Elastoform Polstermöbel, is absolutely convinced by interzum: "interzum sets trends and is also a forum where we establish new contacts, gather inspiration and from time to time also give the sector our own input about certain things that are developed according to our wishes. The trade fair is very important for us, we visit regularly with several people from the technology department, but also from sales, and many things have come from it that we than later present at the imm cologne for example."

Karlheinz Gozian, Head of Furniture Retail at f.a.n. frankenstolz Schlafkomfort, sees things similarly. "We regularly need new technologies and new machines in order to be able to compete with the daily pressure and the cost pressure that is coming from Asia. That means that we have to use more and more machines. Our machinery outfit has almost quadrupled in the last few years. In three of our production facilities we are working almost to full capacity. That is why we are again looking for innovations in the market at interzum."
