There are trade shows at which new products are presented that hardly anyone has ever seen. The world's leading trade fair interzum 2011 is such an event, as major innovations celebrate their premiere here every two years. Of course this includes the textile sector. For example, leather specialist Boxmark is presenting its exceptionally durable leather "Xtreme", which has extreme features in the truest sense of the word.

It is water, oil, alcohol and stain repellent, fadeless, resistant to UV, mildew and chlorinated and sea water, sun lotion and mosquito repellent - a real all-rounder for a wide range of applications.

The leather undergoes special treatment from the surface through the cross section to the back to obtain its protective quality.

Another company committed to making leather very insensitive is the furniture care company LCK in Ubstadt-Weiher. Light leather is especially susceptible to "bleeding" materials such as denim. The leather technicians of the specialty chemicals group Lanxess and the LCK furniture care team has spent the past few months developing the new "Keralux" intensive protection lotion with "X-Shield". This high quality leather lotion protects leather from stains. It is therefore an ideal addition to leathers, which were treated with an anti-stain finish during the manufacturing process. LCK will present this new product the first time at the interzum show.
